Towage Guidelines for BP Hamble (BPJ)
Choice Pilotage is required on all vessels over 60,000 DWT. Such vessels will have a minimum of four tugs for arrival and a minimum of three tugs for departure except where the pilot and terminal agree to dispense with one tug when the vessel is fitted with bow / stern thrusters which allow greater manoeuvrability.
Inbound and outbound vessels greater than 60,000 displacement tonnage shall have an escort tug for that passage.
